"Exploring the Depths & Challenges of Qualitative Research in a Changing World”

In the age of digital disruption and austerity economics, as society and technology continues to develop at an enormous rate, Qualitative Research needs to keep pace with and help shape this dynamic landscape.

QRCA and AQR, the two largest and longest established associations (each >30 years) for qualitative researchers, invite you to contribute to this exciting event.

We welcome insightful and innovative proposals that will deepen thinking and enhance outcomes. Just submit your 500 word proposal by 18th November 2013.

In order to cast a broad but relevant net for proposals, we are not providing buckets of themes this time. Feel free to challenge yourself and the audience with the idea of where qualitative can go in terms of heights and depths – from big-picture thinking to detailed analysis and interpretation, or from proven methods to emerging approaches.

While we are not being prescriptive about topics, you should be aware of the format options:

  1. 20 minutes on stage (majority of the presentations)
  2. 30 minutes on stage (more of a key-note style)
  3. Poster presentation in the Inspiration Zone (15 minutes, delivered twice – especially great for case-studies or how-to techniques) or
  4. Creative format to propose something really interesting

Use the online Presenter Proposal and Agreement Form to submit your 500-word proposal. This form includes expandable spaces for all the required information to assist you in developing and articulating your idea. It is very important that you provide a clear and detailed picture of your session so that the Program Committee can judge your proposed contribution effectively. This is to insure that only contributions of sufficient interest and quality are presented, and to avoid refusal by the Committee due to inadequate detail.

The committee may follow-up with additional questions in writing, if needed, but the selections will be made by early January, 2014, to allow adequate time in preparing engaging presentation decks.
